Artificial Intelligence -As a Coach should you Adapt or Adopt?
    Speakers:

Dr Fabio Oliveira (PhD), Lecturer in AI Skills for Higher Results, Henley Business School.
Dr Naeema Pasha, Speaker, Author & Worker, Visiting Fellow, Henley Business School,
All about Future of Work - Equity, Careers, Skills & the AI leadership evolution.

I'm often asked by Business Coaches working with C-Suite executives where they should begin with AI. Should they Adapt to it or Adopt it? I've said that given the establishment of legal frameworks like the EU AI Act they need to focus on at least following a light touch standard like the Artificial Intelligence Coaching Alliance Standard (AICAS) that promotes a Safety First mindset, specifically Ethical and Inclusive operations underpinned by a scaffolding for Trust and Safety. These should be in place before any utilisation of tools or technologies as well as competency development. They need as a minimum to follow the 'Protection with Progression' mantra of AICA - Protect themselves and their clients from exposure to risks of AI, and only then, Progress with its use to realise their potential or attain their strategic goals while also advancing their own professional excellence.

Deploying a Standard for AI Enhanced Coaching - Adopting the Artificial Intelligence Coaching Alliance Standard (AICAS)
    Speaker: Jazz Rasool

The AICA Standard shows coaches how human intuition and AI's analytical capabilities can be used in a congruent way within a coach-client relationship. Competency sets are introduced to ensure clients can realise their potential, a coach can develop professionally, and AIs used in coaching are also refined after each session.

The AICA standard draws on coaching competencies of the AC, EMCC and ICF, intended for use with human coach/client dynamics, then integrates and reframes them for an optional tri-partite practice including AI as a partner. This can amplify the benefits the human coach provides their client. Complying with the AICA standard facilitates a collaboration between Coach, Client and AI that enhances the coaching process. Following the standard ensures commitment to the principles of Explainable AI, Responsible AI, and Ethical AI enshrined in articles of international AI Laws.

Artificial Intelligence is an attempt by human beings to replicate human intelligence and ultimately replicate human consciousness. Coaches are duly concerned that, in time, machines, might replace them. What is the reality of machines becoming capable of fully emulating human coaches in coaching sessions?  Should coaches be worried or are there emerging benefits that they could take advantage of to secure their human consciousness is of value in future coaching scenarios?
